Talking to Coworkers Easier in the Workplace

Visiting with folks at a place of business is very different from a conversation with friends and family. In fact, there are dos and donts when interacting on a verbal level with fellow employees. More than a few people have lost jobs and incomes by doing an action as simple as spending a few moments talking with coworkers.

There is no expectation of privacy



More than a few folks have discovered the hard way there is no such thing as privacy. Outside of the home the average person has an expectation of showing up at least eight times each day on surveillance cameras.  


The idea of privacy is a joke when on the phone, computer or within the walls of a business. This is a place of business and in order to protect proprietary information it is acceptable to keep an eye on the help. This is to assure the security of both the employees and the employer in countless cases.

Why it is important to know

The saying of all things are possible is easily a fact. Imagine a simple conversation turning into something unintentional. Factually, it is possible an innocent conversation costing one or both participants a position within the company. Losing a job is a domino effect.

First comes the job, loss of income, then the house, the car and so on. Be careful of what items, subjects and who is talked about around the water cooler. Find out how to communicate with those in the workplace without getting in a difficult situation.

Everyone is not the same

Although there is honesty in the hearts of most individuals, not every person is the same. There are countless people who have the intention to advance by any means necessary. This has been known to include twisting of facts or an innocent statement made into an ugly and hideous interaction.
